Reader Asks About Web Based Survey Tools

Kurt Schweitzer wrote:

I'm looking for recommendations for web-based surveying tools - like SurveyMonkey (http://surveymonkey.com).

I don't happen to like SurveyMonkey because it goes into a loop whenever I try to fill in a survey there. I believe this is due to my having permanent cookies disabled. Regardless of the reason, the fact that I'm having problems suggests to me that it's not a good choice (if I have problems taking someone else's survey, others will have problems taking mine!)

So, can anyone give me recommendations?

More specifically, I'm looking for the ability to create surveys where the questions asked of users are based on their previous answers. For example, if they answer question A "yes" I ask them questions B and C, but if they answer "no" I ask questions D, E, and F. That type of thing.

I'm also looking for the ability to ask yes/no, multiple choice, ranking (1 thru 5), and open-ended (write your comment) types of questions.

Is anyone here doing this sort of thing as a way of prequalifying customers?

Hello Kurt,

Here are a couple of web based survey tools for you to check out.

1. AskDatabase:  This is a survey system that shows different methods of using their survey system for marketing. Click on the 7 Tested AskDatabase Strategies to see examples.

2. Interactive Sales Letter:  Interactive Sales Letter actually works by prequalifying your clients so that they view a different sales letter or web site based on their answers. A great way to customize your marketing message based on your client's needs.

Let us know which one you choose and what your results are.
