Hi Shirley,
You'll be happy to know you can record more than 60 seconds with Sound Recorder!
Here is how you do it. Start recording the way you have been. When you get close
to the end, just stop speaking and hit the stop button on Sound Recorder. Then
push record again and continue. This resets the scale on the recorder monitor to
let you continue.
I have used Sound Recorder to make very long recordings (audio versions of some
of my articles) and it works very well for this.
