I wanted your insight on this matter. I've read and skimmed over articles
that talk about whether html or plain text is better when sending out your
online newsletter? I use Constant Contact because it has both options when it
sends out email to the recepient.
Does anyone have any research that can prove which method is better when sending
out the newsletter to the recipient? Pros and cons of both?
I use a very basic template from Constant Contact for the HTML enabled version.
For me, I'm more concerned about good content as opposed to how glitzy and
glamorous the structure or layout of my newsletter is.
Thank you for your time.
Hello Dean,
Research I have seen showed that html newsletters had more impact on readers
than text.
One of my clients, a financial planner, found that his signups for his seminars
and open houses were much higher when he switched to html.
Of course, the content is critical, but I have had many comment on the nice
pictures in my newsletter and even emails from readers asking me where I got
them. (another chance to connect!)
Constant Contact
will automatically create your text version if you do an html version. In
addition, with Constant
Contact, your clients can choose which one to receive.
This way, your clients get the version they prefer.
